DECEMBER 5TH
Everything going reasonably well from a practical point of view. Security
Despatch have been fantastic, sending out replacements as needed. Terra
Nova have sent out new tent poles, and Michelin have sent out tyres. They
seem just fine, a little slower maybe, but tougher for the job. I am hoping
to receive the new software update for Psion/Ericsson, when I arrive in
Brisbane. Thanks DHL for your bit towards the charity!
Web site is looking
great, I love the thumbnails. Since being in Byron Bay, waiting for parts
to arrive, it has rained pretty well everyday. Then the storms gave way to
two hot, hot days, and have now returned again. I have been camping out on
the beach and running each day. Turned my ankle and damaged a ligament, but
it seems OK, touch wood. Byron Bay is a pretty alternative place, so I'm
off to a homeopathic doctor to sort me out.
I have a friend in Bangalow,
Mark Corrie, who has a place called the Urban Cafe, 12 kilometers from
Byron Bay. It has only been open a week but is really popular. My arrival
in Byron Bay was spot on, Mark is a great chef!
Did a live telephone link
up with Carlton Digital 'Raw TV' on the 3rd, it seemed to go OK.
Tomorrow, I am going to climb the world's largest extinct volcano, then
it's off to Brisbane.
